How to Connect AirPods?
How To Connect AirPods? The easiest way to connect your AirPods is on another Apple device, like an iPhone or iPad. It’s also the most secure because the pairing process takes place over iCloud.
With your AirPods in their case, tap the Bluetooth icon in Control Center or open System Preferences and select Bluetooth & other devices. Then follow the onscreen instructions to connect your AirPods.
1. Turn on Bluetooth:
If you haven’t already done so, make sure Bluetooth is turned on on your Windows PC. You’ll need to do this so your computer can pair with your AirPods. Open the Settings app and select Bluetooth & other devices. Select your AirPods from the list, then click Connect. A window will pop up declaring your earbuds are ready to go.
You can also connect your AirPods to Android devices and other non-Apple computers using the Bluetooth menu in your device’s system settings or control center. For example, you can listen to music on an Android phone or tablet while you take a Skype call on your Mac.
If your earbuds have been connected to other devices and you’re having trouble connecting them to your PC, you can try a reset. Put your AirPods back in their case and close the lid. Open the case and press and hold the setup button on the back or front of the case (depending on the model). The status light should flash white.
2. Open the case:
and hold it near your iPhone. First, make sure your iPhone is unlocked and signed in to iCloud. You may also want to restart your audio source device — accumulated dirt and dust can prevent your earbuds from connecting or charging.
If you’re connecting to an iPad, you’ll need to manually connect your AirPods after opening the case. Once you’ve done this, a setup animation appears on the iPad screen.
You can also pair your AirPods to your Apple Watch without a nearby iPhone. This is useful if you want to listen to music or podcasts while exercising, for example. Just put your AirPods in the case, open it, and press and hold the setup button until a status light flashes white. Then follow the onscreen instructions to complete the setup. The earbuds will then be automatically connected to all other Apple devices you’re signed in to with your Apple ID.
3. Press and hold the setup button:
There are a lot of wireless headphones out there, but AirPods have become one of the most popular because they offer best-in-class sound quality and an incredibly simple setup process. In this guide, we’ll show you how to quickly connect your new AirPods or AirPods Pro (all models work the same way).
Start with a fully charged case with both earbuds in it. Open the lid, and press and hold the small setup button on the back of the case until the status light flashes white.
Once your AirPods are in pairing mode, you can pair them with any iOS Devices that supports Bluetooth audio. To do so, simply position the charging case with both earbuds inside close to your phone or iPad, then follow the on-screen instructions.
Once paired, your AirPods will automatically connect to any other compatible Apple device you’re using with your iCloud account. You can also connect them to non-Apple devices that support Bluetooth audio, such as a Samsung TV. You can do this by opening the case, holding it close to the device, and following the on-screen instructions.
4. Wait for the status light to flash white:
When the status light flashes white, your AirPods are ready to connect. If you’re using an iPhone, iPad, or Apple TV, the wireless earbuds should automatically appear in a list of nearby Bluetooth devices. You can also connect them to other Android devices, Windows laptops, and gaming consoles like the Nintendo Switch or Xbox Series X/S that support Bluetooth audio.
If you’re trying to connect them to a non-Apple device, make sure your phone has the latest version of iOS or your tablet has the latest version of tvOS. You can also try recharging your AirPods and cleaning the case.
To connect your AirPods to a Mac, open the case and press and hold the setup button or noise control button (for AirPods Max). A window with a prompt to Connect appears on your computer. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the connection process. When you’re done, the indicator light in the case should flash white to show your AirPods are connected to your Mac.
5. Tap Connect:
The AirPods case opens, and a pop-up appears with a set of instructions that’ll vary depending on the model. In most cases, you’ll see a guide on how to set up “Hey Siri” and other features.
If the setup is successful, you’ll see a list of all the paired devices on your iPhone or iPad. If you’re unsure about how to connect your AirPods, try to swipe down from the top right of the screen and then long-press the Bluetooth icon. Then select your AirPods from the list of paired devices.
AirPods automatically pair (and remain paired) with all Apple devices that use the same Apple ID. This is supremely convenient, especially if you’re using your AirPods to listen to music on one device and answer a phone call on another. You can also manually switch between devices, which is useful if you own multiple iOS devices or need to quickly disconnect the earbuds from an iPad to use them with a Mac. Mac users who have updated to the latest version of macOS Sonoma can connect AirPods by opening a notification and tapping Connect.
