To start, make sure your phone and TV are on the same WiFi network. Open Control Center (if you have an iPhone X or later, or an iPad with iOS 13 or earlier), then tap the screen mirroring icon.

Connect your iPhone:

If you have a TV that supports AirPlay, you can connect your iPhone to it with an AV cable or by using the AirPlay feature. This can be useful for showing videos, photos, and slideshows on a larger screen, giving a presentation, or streaming music.

Plug a Lightning-to-HDMI or VGA adapter into your iPhone’s charging port and an HDMI or VGA input on your TV. If your TV has multiple HDMI ports, select the one that matches the port you used on your adapter. If you want to control what’s being displayed on the TV, you can do so from your iPhone with built-in controls in apps and the Control Center.

Get an adapter:

If you have an Apple TV or another Smart TV that supports AirPlay, you can easily broadcast your iPhone to the big screen using a few easy steps. To get started, make sure both your iPhone and TV are on the same Wi-Fi network. Then, connect your iPhone to a power source. You’ll also need an HDMI adapter and an HDMI cable.

The Lightning port on your iPhone doesn’t have the right connector for an HDMI cable, so you need a special adapter that plugs into your phone’s charging port. Apple makes one called the Lightning Digital AV Adapter, but any HDMI to Lightning adapter should work.

Plug one end of the HDMI cable into a free HDMI port on your TV or other streaming device. Then connect the other end of the cable to the Lightning port on your iPhone. If prompted, enter the code displayed on the TV to continue.

Your phone’s display should appear on the TV. And audio from any apps that support it will play through your TV’s speakers. You can even turn your phone sideways for a full-screen landscape view.

If your iPhone is a recent model. You can connect it to any TV that supports Apple’s AirPlay protocol by using one of several adapters and cables. For the best quality, use a Lightning to Digital AV Adapter from Apple or a similar cable that supports HDMI. Make sure that your TV and iPhone are connected to the same Wi-Fi network. And that your TV has a source input that matches the input on your Lightning connector. Open your iPhone’s Control Center (swipe down from the top-right corner on iPhone X or later. Or up from the bottom edge on iPhone 8 or earlier and iOS 11 or earlier) and tap Screen Mirroring. If you’re prompted, enter the passcode shown on your TV.

When you’re done, you can use your TV to display whatever is on your iPhone. including videos, slideshows of photos, and more. You can even use your TV as a speaker to play music or give a presentation.

Connect your TV:

If you’ve ever wanted to broadcast your iPhone screen to a big TV screen. There are now a few ways to do it without the need for an Apple TV or Roku streaming device. As long as your TV works with Apple’s AirPlay 2 protocol, it can display what’s on your iPhone’s screen. It’s a great way to show off photos, videos, or anything else that’s on your iPhone screen.

You can connect your iPhone to a TV with an HDMI cable or an AV adapter. Which has one end that fits into the Lightning connector on your iPhone. And another that plugs into the input port on your TV or monitor. If you’re using an AV adapter, make sure it supports HDMI and High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection (HDCP). Which is required to pass video content from the iPhone to the TV.

Once you’ve connected your TV to your iPhone. Open the Control Center by swiping down from the top-right corner on the newer iPhone. Models or up from the bottom of the display on older ones. Then, tap the Screen Mirroring button. If prompted, enter the passcode displayed on your TV.

Once you’ve paired your devices, everything that happens on your iPhone will also appear on the TV. That includes apps, presentations, and websites. To disconnect your phone from the TV, just open the Control Center again and select Stop Mirroring.
