How To Screen Mirror iPhone To TV?

How To Screen Mirror iPhone To TV? Whether you’re sharing captivating presentations with colleagues or simply immersing yourself in entertainment on a lazy Saturday night, screen mirroring is a useful feature for several scenarios. Learn how to duplicate your iPhone’s screen on Apple TV, AirPlay-compatible smart TVs, Roku devices, and more.

For older TVs or those without AirPlay compatibility, you can use an HDMI cable to connect your phone. This method isn’t as convenient as AirPlay, but it still works when Wi-Fi is unavailable or flaky.

1. AirPlay:

Screen mirroring is a feature that allows you to project whatever is on your iPhone’s screen onto the bigger display of a TV. It is an easy, convenient, and hassle-free method of sharing images or videos with multiple people.

The best way to do this is through AirPlay, which is a wireless technology that can transfer audio and video between iOS devices (such as an iPhone), Mac computers, and Apple TVs or other AirPlay-compatible TVs and speakers. The feature works by connecting your iPhone to the same Wi-Fi network as your TV and other devices that you want to stream content to, then selecting them in Control Center. Depending on the device and your network, you may be asked to enter an AirPlay passcode.

To mirror your iPhone to your TV. Connect the iPhone to the same Wi-Fi network as the Apple TV 4K. Or another AirPlay-compatible smart TV or an Apple TV with tvOS or iOS 11. Open the Control Center on your iPhone. Then tap the Screen Mirroring icon (or the tile that has two intersecting squares) to start streaming. You can also open an app that supports AirPlay, such as iTunes or Spotify, and select your TV from the list of playback destinations.

For a more reliable method, you can use a Lightning to HDMI adapter. If you plan to buy one, make sure it supports High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection (HDCP).

2. HDMI:

A wired HDMI connection is not as convenient as AirPlay, but it’s still an excellent option to have in case you’re using an older TV or an adapter that doesn’t support Apple AirPlay. Simply connect an HDMI cable from the television to the Lightning end of the adapter, plug the adapter into your iPhone, and select the appropriate input in Control Center. This method also works with some video apps that feature their own AirPlay controls, such as Amazon Prime and Netflix.

To mirror your iPhone to a TV using HDMI, first. Make sure that both the TV and the iPhone are connected to the same WiFi network. Then, during audio or video playback on your iPhone. Tap the AirPlay icon (it looks like a TV with a triangle at the bottom) to open screen mirroring options. Select the TV from the list, and the video will start streaming to the screen. To stop streaming, select the AirPlay icon again or choose another option from the Control Center.

If you don’t have an Apple TV or a compatible television, you can use a Chromecast device to duplicate your phone’s display.

This is a great option if you’re traveling and want to watch a movie or video on the plane without having to share your phone’s small screen with everyone else in the room. To get started, download a Chromecast screen mirroring app from the App Store and follow the on-screen instructions to connect your iPhone to the TV.

3. AV Adapter:

If your TV or streaming device doesn’t support AirPlay, you can use an AV adapter to mirror the screen of your iPhone. This is a more traditional approach, and it works well if you prefer not to stream video content over Wi-Fi. Plug one end of an HDMI cable into your TV. And the other into the Lightning Digital AV Adapter that comes with your iPhone. Then, select the source input on your TV that matches the port you connected the AV adapter to. You may be prompted to enter an AirPlay code, depending on your TV model.

Once your AV adapter is set up. You can mirror your iPhone to the TV using the same process as with AirPlay. Swipe down on the newer iPhone X or later. Or swipe up on older models to open Control Center and then tap the Screen Mirroring button.

In addition to Apple TV. The Lightning Digital AV Adapter supports mirroring on other devices that support HDMI (including some Roku models. Select LG and Samsung TVs from 2018 and up. Most Vizio smart TVs, and 2020 Fire TV Edition TVs from Toshiba and Insignia). Just make sure that your TV or streaming device is connected to your home network and has an Internet connection. Then, you can choose to mirror your iPhone’s display or stream videos from apps like Netflix.

4. Roku:

One of the best ways to screen mirror your iPhone to TV is by using a Roku device. These devices are similar to Apple TV, but they offer more flexibility than Apple’s proprietary technology. Plus, they’re compatible with many more types of media than Apple devices.

To set up Roku to mirror your iPhone, connect your iPhone to a TV or monitor with an HDMI cable. Then, make sure your iPhone and TV are connected to the same Wi-Fi network. Open Control Center (iPhone X or later, or iPad with iOS 11 or earlier) and tap the “Screen Mirroring” icon. Select your TV from the list of available devices. If prompted, enter the AirPlay code shown on the TV (if this is your first time connecting).

With these simple steps, you can wirelessly mirror your iPhone to any TV or monitor. This is a great way to replay your favorite videos. Display a photo slideshow, communally browse social media, or showcase your mobile gaming skills. Of course, it’s even more convenient if you have an Apple TV! But if you don’t, there are plenty of other options. Just be sure to choose a method that offers the features you need, and is compatible with your existing hardware. Happy streaming!
