How To Connect AirPods Pro To iPhone 15 Pro Max? Sometimes, accumulated dirt or other issues could prevent AirPods from connecting properly. A thorough cleaning of the earbuds, charging case, or both should remedy this problem.

Pairing AirPods Pro to your iPhone is easy and shouldn’t take more than a few seconds. The process is similar to that of pairing them to other Apple devices.

1. Turn on your AirPods:

Once you’ve opened the case, and if they’re not already connected to another device, you can begin using your AirPods. AirPods connect automatically to your iPhone 15 Pro Max, iPad, Mac, and any other Apple devices that you’re signed in with the same iCloud account. And when you’re wearing them and using them with Siri, your audio is automatically routed through the headphones, so you can hear your voice loudly and clearly.

You can also control the built-in features of your AirPods, like how you want to use Siri and how to handle calls or music. You can even choose which ear tip to wear, and you can also change how the press and hold option on each AirPod works (see Change what happens when you press and hold your earbuds).

In iOS and on any other device that supports Bluetooth, your AirPods can connect and pair with up to two devices at a time. The audio will switch between these devices based on which one you’re using most, and you can also manually select which one you want to play from.

When you first pair your AirPods with a different device, you’ll need to open the charging case and wait for about 15 seconds before opening it. Then press and hold the setup button on the case for up to 10 seconds, until the status light flashes white.

2. Open the charging case:

If you’re using the case for your AirPods, you’ll need to open it in order to connect them to your iPhone. The case includes a Lightning or, with the latest version of AirPods, USB-C cable for charging. You can also use a wireless charger with the case, but this isn’t recommended as it may cause short-term damage to it.

Once you’ve opened the case, press and hold the setup button for up to 15 seconds or until the status light flashes white. Then, place the case next to your iPhone. Then, follow the on-screen instructions to finish connecting your AirPods.

Apple has made a few changes to the charging case for AirPods Pro, including a built-in speaker and a U1 chip for Precision Finding with Find My.If you find this feature distracting, you can turn it off by going to Settings on your synced device and tapping AirPods.

You can also check the battery level for your case and each of your AirPods in the Batteries widget on your Lock screen, Home screen, or Today View on an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. This is helpful if you’re preparing to travel and want to know how much battery you have left before heading out the door.

3. Press and hold the setup button on the case:

With the AirPods in the charging case and the lid open, press and hold the setup button on the case for about 15 seconds until the status light flashes amber, then white. Then follow the onscreen instructions to connect your AirPods to your iPhone.

You can also use AirPods as a regular Bluetooth headset with any non-Apple device, such as an Android phone or tablet, or a Mac or PC. But you won’t be able to control playback with Siri, use hands-free calling or Hey Siri, or transfer audio between devices. To set up AirPods to work with a non-Apple device, press and hold the setup button on the AirPods case or the noise control button (on AirPods Max) until the status light flashes white.

If you use your AirPods with multiple Apple devices, you can set them to automatically switch to the one you use most often. On an iPhone or iPad, go to Settings > AirPods and tap the More Info button next to your AirPods. Tap Automatically switch to this device, or choose one of the other options. On a Mac, select your AirPods in the list of available Bluetooth devices and follow the onscreen instructions.

AirPods Pro have a new feature that allows you to adjust the double-tap gesture to trigger different actions. For example, you can set one to activate Siri and the other to change noise control modes.

4. Place your AirPods next to your iPhone:

If you have an iPhone or iPad that’s running the latest version of iOS or iPadOS, you can pair your AirPods with them by placing them next to your device. Then, just follow the on-screen instructions to finish setting up your new AirPods.

Once you’ve paired your AirPods with an iPhone, they automatically connect to any other Apple devices that use Bluetooth — like iPads and Macs. You can listen to audio playing on your iPhone, make and answer phone calls, use Siri, and more. You can even switch between multiple iPhones or between an iPhone and an iPad.

Apple also designed AirPods to have great wireless performance. They can play audio for up to 15 hours, and the case holds up to 24 hours of charge for the headphones and case itself.

When you’re listening to music on your AirPods and you take one out of your ear, the audio pauses. And when you put the earbud back in your ear, playback resumes automatically. You can also manually pause audio on your AirPods by tapping the small button on the case’s back.
