How to Connect Mobile Internet to Laptop Without USB

If you don’t want to carry a laptop everywhere you go or you need to access files on the go, you can share your mobile internet with your PC.

There are several ways to do this. Some of them use a USB data cable and others use mobile hotspots.

1. Use a GPRS Phone How to Connect Mobile Internet to Laptop Without USB:

Most mobile phones with Internet access can act as modems to help connect a laptop to the Internet by sharing their GPRS connection.

While 3G and Wi-Fi networks are becoming more popular, GPRS is still a good option for budget data plans.

However, not all laptops come with Bluetooth technology so you may have to buy a Bluetooth dongle.

To use a computer / PC with a mobile phone or GSM/GPRS device to send SMS messages, first place a valid SIM card from a wireless carrier into the mobile phone or GSM/GPRS modem and then connect the device to the computer / PC.

Next, use AT commands to instruct the mobile phone or GSM/GPRS device about how to send SMS messages.

2. Use a Bluetooth Device:

Bluetooth is a technology that uses radio waves to communicate directly between devices, without needing a USB cable.

It is most commonly used in mobile phones, but it can also be integrated into other devices such as keyboards and mice, or wireless printers.

The technology works over a small band of 2.4 GHz radio frequencies. It uses much less power than Wi-Fi, a similar technology, and is, therefore, less prone to interference with other devices in the same range.

A Bluetooth device is able to detect other devices within its range and connect automatically. Its radio signal is a bit like Wi-Fi in that it randomly picks up one of the 79 available frequencies and hops across them many times a second to make the connection, but unlike Wi-Fi, it doesn’t need a lot of power.

Bluetooth is very useful for transferring files from your phone to your computer, but it’s important to remember that it only works over short distances. This can be a problem if you want to transfer files from a desktop to a laptop.

If you are running low on power and need to use your laptop, there are a few ways to get a quick recharge without using the usual USB cable. One way is to use a portable battery pack.

These portable battery packs have an AC outlet inside, which you can plug your laptop’s charging cord into.

Another option is to buy an external spare battery. These are usually brand- and line-specific, so you should be careful to choose the right one.

4. Use a Wi-Fi Hotspot:

If your mobile phone has a Wi-Fi hotspot feature, it can share its mobile data connection with your laptop or PC without using a USB cable.

It’s a great option for when you’re on the move, or when a broadband internet connection isn’t available.

To use your phone’s Wi-Fi hotspot on a computer, open the Settings app. Touch Network & Internet, then tap Mobile hotspot.
